Garden room designed as a home office. Dunboyne, Co. Meath, Ireland
Client needed to free up one of bedrooms in their house for a family member, by moving home office into new garden room. Building had to be highly insulated, well illuminated and comfortable to work in, as it would be used as a home office all year round. Garden room also had to fit nicely between boundary walls.
Ecos proposed perfectly sized, very well thermally and sound insulated garden room to meet client's requirements. As well as a home office, part of garden building also designed to be a storage area to replace existing garden shed.

Garden hobby room for teenagers. Bettystown, Co. Meath, Ireland
Garden room to be shared between teenagers to have their own hobby room. Plenty of windows and large skylights to gain natural light into part of room which going to be used as a painting studio by the talented artist, also plenty of space for a musician to have very own music studio and to melodize new hits. And even more space for friends, to invite and, maybe, leave them to sleep over night on a comfy couch.
Garden room designed to be used as a painting studio. Killiney, Co. Dublin, Ireland
An artist required a painting studio, she was choosing between an attic conversion and a garden room and was interested in different options and price ranges.
In this case the attic conversion of detached house would have had major structural roof reconstruction involved and would result in significant investment with minimal useful space gained, such conversion also required a planning permission. Quite the opposite ? garden room of required size needed no planning permission and would be more comfortable and versatile space. Also because of their huge garden - room wouldn't make any noticeable impact on garden space but would blend in beautifully with garden's environment.
Room had to be certain size to accommodate all painters' accessories and to be comfortable to work in, but building also had to fit in between selected trees, also room had to be bright because an artist needs as much light as possible. As result we proposed several styles and locations of the garden studio - Classeco, Cubeco and Contempo. In all variations of garden studios - rooms appeared to be spacious with plenty of natural illumination through large windows and rooflights. Because of high-specification windows and high level of insulation - thermal performance of proposed garden rooms appeared to be in compliance with building regulations.

Garden office design idea. Cork, Ireland
Client run out of space in their three-bedroom house and because they have one full-time home office worker - they were looking for a garden office to gain a dedicated office space as well as to free up one of the rooms in their house. They had an idea for a garden room in mind and was wondering if ECOS can bring it to live by building desired office in their tiny garden.
Building had to fit into client's garden, at the same time fruit tree had to be saved. Office space had to be reasonably bright, comfortable to work in, and pleasant to relax and reduce stress at the end of a busy work day. We designed the garden room according to client's requirements. Garden room appeared to be not just the ideal office space, but also very well thermally and sound insulated and suitable for all year round use without worrying about expensive heating costs.

Garden room design idea. Cellbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland
Aware of the high heating cost, client was looking for a highly insulated multi-purpose garden room to use it as a home office as well as a retreat.
There was no particular size restrictions, garden room just had to fit into rear part of the garden and not to create obstructions in front of the rear garage entrance. We took advantage of south facing garden and designed building with large openings to maximize heat gain through high performance glazing. Garden room appeared large enough to accommodate two parts - one is home office, another - relaxation room.

Ideas of garden painting studio. Celbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland
House has been extended previously, but because of growing family - there is no room left in the house to accommodate painting studio, so client started to look for a garden room.
Building was designed with large front openings and rooflights to maximize natural light into studio, simple, but there were two main concepts implying slightly different budgets. First idea - garden studio designed as an independent building and some garden space left for a garden shed. Another idea is that building designed to occupy entire rear part of the garden, facing the house. Part of garden building also designed to be a storage area for bikes and garden tools.

Client requested: "I am planning a garden office in my new home. The space I can work in is 20ft X 12ft. Ideally I would like an office/outbuilding with 3 sections. The first section would be very small e.g. 4-5ft wide with a door direct to the outside. This would be to store a few garden implements and maybe the bikes. The second section would be the office - need not be very big as I do not get clients calling to me. And a third section if possible to convert as a bedroom for visitors, this need not be physically separate from the office but reasonably distinct."
Here is proposed garden room - standalone building divided in three sections. One is storage room to replace existing garden shed, another two rooms are equal size home office and clients' bedroom.
